How Do I Make an Investment?

Investing in a Gridline product is simple.

When viewing an investment that you would like to commit to, the steps to complete the investment are:

  • Click "Invest Now"
  • Confirm the investor profile that you would like to make an investment through and certify that the investor profile is still accredited.
    • The investor profile must be qualified to invest in that product in order to select it. If you are unable to select a particular investor profile to use for your investment, the profile may not be qualified due to the accreditation status (for example, that product is limited to qualified purchasers only) or because a previous investment was already committed by that investor profile for that product.
    • If you have not previously completed an Anti-Money Laundering Questionnaire for the profile, you will need to do so at this time.
  • Configure the investment by inputting the amount you'd like to invest and choosing your desired capital call schedule.
    Configure Investment

    • Your capital call schedule options are determined by the amount of your investment in this product or as configured by the fund manager.
      • Investments under $3,000,000 can complete capital calls in 1 installment (100% at time of investment) or 3 installments (40% at time of investment - 30% - 30%)
      • Investments over $3,000,000 can utilize a 5 installment schedule (40% at time of investment, 20% - 20% - 10% - 10%).
    • If you wish to fund your investment from an Equity Trust IRA, you will have the option to create and fund this account in the subsequent steps.
  • Finalize & sign the investment documents
    • The last step to committing to an investment is signing the investment document packet, which includes:
      • Subscription Agreement & Investor Questionnaire - Details the amount you are investing, your accreditation status, & your contact information.
      • Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA) - Defines the terms of your partnership in the Gridline fund.
      • Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) - Discloses all information and terms about a particular investment.
      • W-9 - We must have a completed W-9 for each investor profile used to make an investment. This only needs to be filled out once for each profile with an active investment.
      • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) - Each investor profile must complete an AML questionnaire once per year, if an investment is made through that profile in that year.
    • Once you have verified and/or updated the information contained in your documents you will sign right within the application.
      • NOTE: If you are investing as an entity and you are not the authorized signer, you will designate an authorized signer in the first step of the signing process. This will route the final signature to the designated signer once you finish your part.
  • Capital Transfer
    • Once all documents are signed, you will be presented the wiring instructions and call schedule to send your first capital call amount based on the call schedule you selected.
    • The first capital call is due within 7 days of document signing.
